Basic Function

Assist in managing the construction, upgrading, repairs and maintenance for retail locations.

Help manage Company facilities, physical plants and store locations in accordance with Company standards, government regulations and environmental health and safety standards. Perform maintenance, upgrades and repairs as needed to insure uninterrupted business flow and maximum commercial performance and to insure the safety of company employees. Report/ repair all safety hazards noted in Company locations

Essential Responsibilities

  • Use own tools and transportation to respond to essential repair requests
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Manage facility and operational costs; control expenses
  • Inspect retail stores; report and repair any and all safety issues or potential safety hazards
  • Confirm all necessary permits and approvals from governing municipalities for work-related projects. Attend all required inspections. Prioritize projects and work requests (tickets) as directed; schedule and perform work accordingly
  • Project Management: supervise and coordinate work of outside contractors and vendors; review and approve invoices as appropriate. Insure work quality and deliver maximum value vs. expenditures
  • Initiate and supervise planned maintenance projects
  • Manage preventive maintenance initiatives of facilities, HVAC, equipment, etc.
  • Conduct inspections of facilities; report & correct deficiencies as budgeted
  • Suggest future development consistent with Company business objectives
  • Order supplies as needed with approval from Facilities Manager
  • Other duties as directed

Classification Status

Exempt, full time. The position may require overnight on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises.

Work Enviroment

Work is regularly performed in a combination of office and retail environments and is regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
